TAE

– True Arkansas Eatery –

our story... the very, very, very short version.

Owner and Chef Justin Patterson first began wowing Little Rock with The Southern Gourmasian food truck in 2012. He went on to open a brick+mortar on Capitol Ave. in 2015. Prior to opening, he hired Cetera "C.C." Key as a server and she quickly became Chef Patterson's "right hand," and manager. The Southern Gourmasian earned many awards and recognition both locally and nationally over its tenure. The team have been featured on The Cooking Channel and Food Network winning competitions on both. In February 2018, The Southern Gourmasian closed due to many unresolved structural issues with the building. Although they were unable to quickly find a fitting home for the Southern + Asian fusion restaurant,  Justin and C.C. were approached with the restaurant space inside of the Hotel Frederica- just blocks away from their current home and in need of a new concept. Still fully equipped with all their love for cooking and food- naturally, Chef Patterson signed the lease and C.C. began creating a new concept. "TAE" EAT backwards, later made into "True Arkansas Eatery" was born.
